Fuerty and Oran set for cracker!

IFC Preview – Mulryan Construction IFC Round 4

Group A

Fuerty v Oran on Saturday in Fuerty at 7 pm: Game of the weekend in the IFC at Mulhern Park for sure. This will be cracker, and Fuerty can get back on the winning trail after losing narrowly to Kilmore last weekend. Oran will have been very disappointed to have only drawn against Tulsk last weekend. There are plenty of good players on view and this will be a very tight game. Maybe home advantage will decide it. Prediction: Fuerty.

Kilmore v St. Dominic’s on Saturday in Knockcroghery at 7 pm: This group has been very topsy-turvy and anything can happen as it has done from week to week. Kilmore have won their last two games while Dominic’s were surprised by Kilbride last weekend. Dominic’s will be hard beaten at home but Kilmore are on a roll and they might have a couple of points to spare. Prediction: Kilmore

Tulsk v Kilbride on Saturday in Tulsk at 7 pm: Tulsk have been less then impressive so far and will be determined to ensure a play-off place with a win in this local derby. They will be the favourites to win here but if Conor Devaney repeats what he did against St. Dominic’s last weekend, then anything is possible. If Tulsk want to be considered serious title contenders they must win this game, and they should be good enough. Prediction: Tulsk.

Group B

Shannon Gaels v St. Barry’s on Saturday at Boyle at 5.15 pm: Shannon Gaels were very disappointed having lost a big lead against Éire Óg last weekend. St. Barry’s are on a roll and will be looking for their third win to secure a play off spot. Barry’s look to have the edge in what will be a close game. Prediction: St Barry’s

Clann na nGael v St. Aidan’s on Saturday in Knockcroghery at 5.15 pm: There won’t be much in this. Aidan’s kicked 19 wides last weekend in their one point loss to St. Michael’s while Clann lost out to St. Barry’s. Both sides need the win and maybe Aidan’s might just edge it in the end. Prediction: St Aidan’s

St. Michael’s v Éire Óg on Saturday in Boyle at 7 pm: St. Michael’s scored a vital win last weekend against St. Aidan’s but they will have a tough test from Éire Óg who were not great against Shannon Gaels but they battled back to snatch a draw. They should get back on the wining trail here. Prediction: Éire Óg
