Families and professionals in County Roscommon will have an opportunity to learn more about services available to children and young people at a free information exhibition next month.
Roscommon Children and Young People’s Services Committee (CYPSC) and Sligo Leitrim CYPSC are joining forces to host an information exhibition at the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon on Thursday, October 1.
The event will bring together a wide range of organisations providing services and supports to children, young people and families across Roscommon, Sligo and Leitrim.
The free exhibition will provide an opportunity for members of the public and professionals to meet service providers and find out more about the supports available in the region.
Roscommon organisations and services involved include representatives from Ballaghaderreen Family Resource Centre, Boyle Family Resource Centre, Roscommon County Childcare Committee and Foróige.
The Carrick-on-Shannon event follows a similar exhibition taking place at the Southern Hotel in Sligo on Tuesday, September 29.
The initiative aims to make it easier for families, young people and those working with them to identify appropriate services and find out how they can access support.
CYPSCs bring together agencies working with children and young people at local level, with the aim of improving coordination between services.
The October 1 exhibition at the Landmark Hotel is free to attend.
