Roscommon business people – those already in business plus budding entrepreneurs and franchisees – are being invited to attend the BT Small Business & Franchise Show which takes place in the RDS in Dublin on May 9th and 10th, where you’ll find all the business insight and advice needed to start a business or franchise under one roof! The BT Small Business & Franchise Show is a one-stop-shop of business insight and advice for those currently involved in an SME as well as those thinking of starting up a business or purchasing a franchise. The first of the three events kicks off in the RDS on 9th May and runs for two days. Over 60 specialist exhibitors will take part in the Dublin show, including: Bank of Ireland Business Banking, the Irish Franchise Association, ebay.ie Academy, the Small Firms Association, DHL, RTE, Shannon Development, ISME, VIVAS Health and the Café Bar Deli franchise. The Irish Exporters Association will host an SME Export Conference and a dedicated Franchising Zone will be sponsored by Ulster Bank. Keynote speakers include Dr. Dan McLaughlin, chief economist for Bank of Ireland Group; VIVAS Health CEO Oliver Tattan and Aldagh McDonagh, director of Alternatives. The key challenges facing SMEs in 2008, such as the economy, exporting and green business will feature in the line-up of seminars over the two days which also straddle franchising, business technology, investing in Northern Ireland, starting a business and running your own business.
