Fleadh fever starts on Sunday

Fleadh Cheoil Ros Comáin will take place in Castlecoote-Fuerty this Easter Sunday and Monday.

The festival of Irish traditional music and culture will be officially launched by Roscommon’s own Patsy Hanly at 3 pm on Easter Sunday.

Dancing competitions will take place from 4 pm on Sunday with musicians taking centre stage on Easter Monday from 10 am.

There will be music sessions in Dalton’s of Fuerty, the Castlecoote Lodge and PJ’s across the weekend and a gig rig will be set up adjacent to PJ’s.

This is the first Fleadh Cheoil of 2017 and the first time the event has been held in such a rural area.

The beautiful area of Castlecoote-Fuerty is ready to welcome musicians and dancers from near and far for what promises to be a wonderful weekend of craic agus ceol!
