Local girl Mags Gallagher from Mountcashel, Kilrooskey has joined Fitkids, an Irish owned company providing gymnastics, pre-sporting programmes; classes, camps and parties, as a franchisee in the Roscommon area. Established in 2000 by mother of two Anne Marie Byrne and a team of experts in gymnastics, balls skills, athletics and yoga, Fitkids is the only Irish company providing primary and pre-school fitness programmes for children aged from 10 months up to 10 years. The Fitkids system is proven to develop motor, cognitive and social skills through a series of educational, structured and sequential programmes. We use customised tumbling equipment in our classes to provide a safe and fun platform to teach the children. All FitKids teachers undergo an intensive training course and work experience, which certifies them to teach all our programmes which includes a customised First Aid cert provided by the Irish Red Cross. They are fully reference checked and adhere to the Sports Council of Ireland ‘Code of Ethics; Director of FitKids Anne-Marie Byrne said ‘We are delighted that Mags Gallagher has joined Fitkids, Mags will be offering the full Fitkids portfolio including weekly classes, seasonal camps and birthday parties in the Roscommon region. Mags is a fantastic addition to the FitKids team as she has a keen interest in health and wellbeing and holds a Certificate in Nutrition and Health from The Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health and is currently working on a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy’.
