Finneran welcomes grant for St. Nathy’s

A conservation grant of €200,000 for St. Nathy’s Cathedral in Ballaghaderreen was welcomed this week by Deputy Michael Finneran.             ‘Minister Roche, at my invitation, visited the Cathedral of the Annunciation and St. Nathy, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon, and met with Bishop Thomas Flynn and Fr. Michael Reilly and saw at first hand the work that was required to restore the Cathedral.             ‘I welcome this announcement of €200,000 under the Conservation Grant by the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government and I thank Minister Roche for responding to my many representations in such a positive manner,’ concluded Deputy Finneran.
