Finneran launches new Lisacul development

Local TD Michael Finneran was on hand to perform the official opening of the new Hazelfort Park development in Lisacul on Sunday last.             Two showhouses were open on the afternoon and there was great interest in the new homes, with prices starting at €195,000 for a two-bedroom bungalow. Indeed, such was the interest that the showhouses will be open again on Easter Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm, so go along and view the new homes on offer.             Speaking at the official opening, Deputy Finneran thanked the developer Michael Brennan Construction from Naas, Co. Kildare, for coming into the area and creating the new development. Lisacul is an upcoming area, said Deputy Finneran, with the development of the local school at a cost €500,000 the on-going development of Ireland West Airport Knock and a further spend of €50,000 on Ballaghaderreen by-pass.             Sales were good on the launch day, with deposits being taken on five of the 19 units and lots of interest in the others. There are also plans for commercial or retail units and a purpose-built crèche.             The homes are constructed by Michael Brennan Construction Ltd and come with a ten-year homebond guarantee, indicating the high quality of workmanship available throughout.             A range of house types are available. House type E is a four bedroomed detached house with garage and these homes, which measure 1,324 sq. ft. are selling for €240,000. House Type H, a three bedroom bungalow, is selling for €225,000. The four bedroomed detached houses (type D) measure 1,324 sq. ft. and are selling for €235,000. Four bedroomed semi detached homes are available for €220 and a two bedroom bungalow, (type F) is currently selling for €195,000.             The homes also benefit from Section 23 tax designation, offering owner-occupier relief for investors. Occupiers can claim 50 percent of the cost of construction against their income tax, or five percent per annum for ten years. Section 23-type relief is also available for investors. Full construction costs are allowable against all rental income and mortgage interest relief also applies to rent from these properties.
