Fine Gael to discuss electoral strategy

The Fine Gael electoral strategy for next year’s local elections, including the impact of the boundary review and a timetable for selection conventions, will all be discussed at a forthcoming officer board meeting of the Fine Gael Roscommon/South Leitrim Constituency Executive. Guests at the meeting will also examine what political opponents are expected to be doing for the local elections and other less contentious items on the agenda include a discussion on the Lisbon EU Reform Treaty. Other issues to be discussed include updating electoral registers in relation to foreign nationals and a review of recent party activities and forthcoming events.  As this is the first officer board meeting of 2008, board members are asked to make a special effort to attend. The meeting takes place on Friday, February 29th in the Percy French Hotel, Strokestown, getting underway at 9 pm sharp.
