The line-up for this year’s Roscommon football championship finals has been decided after the weekend action. In the Hodson Bay Hotel SFC final it will be St Brigid’s v Boyle after Boyle edged out Padraig Pearses by a point in a very tense and cagey semi-final at Hyde Park on Sunday. Brigid’s were the very comfortable 15-point winner against Roscommon Gaels on Saturday.
In the Callington Ltd IFC final Éire Óg will meet Castlerea St Kevin’s after Castlerea came good in extra-time to defeat Padraig Pearses by five points and there was a similar margin between Éire Óg and Elphin in the other semi-final. Éire Óg star Conor Cox received a straight red card which puts his participation in the final in doubt.
In the Dermot Hughes JFC the final will be contested by St Michael’s and Clann na nGael.
The ladies senior club final will be contested between the champions Clann na nGael and Boyle after weekend wins against St Dominic’s and Kilbride respectively.
