Feighan slams halt of broadband projects

Deputy Frank Feighan has condemned the decision to suspend funding for broadband in Boyle and Castlerea. ‘Over the past few months I have raised questions in the Dáil in relation to broadband rollout in various areas of Roscommon and Leitrim and just got an explanation as to procedure, etc., but now to find that funding has been halted is an utter disgrace. ‘Our area suffers from many infrastructural shortcomings, this is further compounded by this decision. This let down is further evidence of the neglect of the West of Ireland by the present Government. I now call on the Minister to reverse this decision and am encouraged by the response of County Manager who has shown commitment and support for this rollout which is so necessary for the development of our area.’
