Frank Feighan TD has expressed his grave disappointment with the decision of National Irish Bank to close three of its five branches in County Leitrim, closing offices Dowra, Mohill, Drumshanbo. He described the closures as ‘a major blow to these communities that have been loyal and valued supporters of this bank for over a century.’ Deputy Feighan said that while some locations have an alternative bank to fall back on, in the case of Dowra and its hinterland no such alternative is available. He called on the back to install an ATM to alleviate the trauma this cut in service will cause.
