Roscommon Ladies footballers are out of this year’s TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Football Championship following a 0-16 to 0-10 defeat to Monaghan this afternoon.
Aisling Hanly and Laura Fleming were once again prominent for Roscommon early on but Monaghan were sharp up front and Jodi McQuillan was very impressive.
Helena Cummins saved a penalty in the 25th minute but Monaghan still led by 0-8 to 0-7 at half-time.
The home side then pulled away in a one-sided second half with some superb scores and it is they who join Wexford in the quarter-finals.
