Roscommon County Council will spend €1.8 million on the section of road that stretches from Bealnamuilla to the quarry at Cam in Brideswell following the representations of Government TD Michael Finneran. The programme of overlay and tarring will commence next month of the section of road from Kilcar Cross to Cam Community Centre. The sections from the Quarry to Kilcar Cross and from Cam Centre to Brideswell require some land acquisition. Negotiations with local landowners began in recent days. ‘I welcome the effort by Roscommon County Council and I will continue to impress the urgency of these works on the Council,’ said Deputy Finneran.
