Elsewhere in Division 2 this weekend

* Cavan v Cork (Saturday at Breffni Park at 7 pm) Cavan are rooted at the bottom of the table with no wins yet and this might provide them with a chance to record their first brace of points. Donal Keoghan’s men played reasonably well against Dublin and may just be good enough to beat Cork, who were lucky against Westmeath in the last round.  Prediction: Cavan to cause a surprise. * Monaghan v Meath (Sunday in Clones at 2.30 pm) Regular readers will know that I have been very impressed with Monaghan however I have to say that they were very reliant on Tommy Freeman for scores against Dublin on Sunday last but they fought hard for a draw. They will be too good for Meath in Clones. Prediction: Monaghan to win. * Armagh v Dublin (Sunday in Crossmaglen at 2.30 pm) The game of the day in this (or any other) division. Armagh crushed Roscommon here in the last round while Dublin have been less than impressive so far. However Dublin will be up for this game and it could be a real bruising encounter. I have a sneaking suspicion that Armagh might just sneak it by a point or two. Prediction: Armagh, narrowly. – Seamus Duke
