Elphin-born author, Grainne Brady, was invited to Áras an Uachtaráin to present her recently published book, ‘Parenting Skills in Minutes: Creating a Happy, Loving Relationship with your Child’ to Sabina and President Michael D. Higgins.
Grainne spoke to President Higgins and Sabina Higgins about the importance of supporting families to create happy and harmonious families.
The President agreed that “peace and reconciliation begins in the home and it starts from a young age”.
With 35 years experience as a Childcare professional and Play Therapist, Grainne wrote this book to share her knowledge with parents on how to manage their day-to-day challenges from bedtime to mealtime to behaviour and relationship struggles.
Her book helps parents create happy, harmonious homes by giving them quick-to-implement, proven strategies to build strong family relationships so that children can grow up confident and happy and parents can enjoy every minute of raising their children.
Grainne was invited to Áras an Uachtaráin after she asked Sabina Higgins to launch her book. In her time as First Lady, Sabina Higgins has proven herself to be an advocate of women and families. Sabina said Grainne’s book was “a great idea and so important for families”.
