Edmilson runs riot!

Skyvalley Rovers B 0 v Lisnamult Celtic 4                                       Dida (pen) 8 mins Edmilson 69, 78, 83 mins Lisnamult Celtic’s Edmilson ran riot scoring a second half hat-trick when they took on Skyvalley in Taughmaconnell on Sunday last.   The game was slow to get started but with only ten minutes on the clock Skyvalley’s Liam Finneran had a shot on target that hit the Celtic crossbar and went over. With eight minutes gone after some good build-up play from midfield Rob Hoey was brought down in the penalty box and Dida scored to give Celtic the lead.  Skyvalley’s best chance in the first half went to Gerard Caulfield whose shot went just wide from a free-kick. For most of the first half it was backs to the wall for bottom of the league Skyvalley Rovers. Pat Mulleady in the Rovers’ goal made save after save to keep his side in the game, but all the play was coming from Lisnamult who failed to add the score in the first half.  The first yellow card of the game went to Skyvalley’s Pat Feeney. Right on the half-time whistle Celtic’s Daniel Hoare put though Dida whose shot went just wide of the Rovers goal. The second half started with Lisnamult playing all the football. Just two minutes after the re-start, Celtic’s Dida had a shot on target which drew a great save from Rovers’ Pat Mulleady. With twenty-four minutes of the second half gone, Daniel Hoare played in Celtic’s Edmilson who ’rounded the keeper to score. Nine minutes later Edmilson added to the score after some good work from Rodrigous in midfield. On thirty-eight minutes, Edmilson rounded off his hat-trick to put Celtic in the driving seat. All in all, it was a very poor second half display from Skyvalley Rovers who did not have one single shot in the whole of the second half, with Rovers goalkeeper man of the match Pat Mulleady who kept the score down and his side in the game.  Lisnamult Celtic: 1 Eugenio, 2 Rafael, 3 Roberto, 4 J.
