Strokestown-based construction firm EDA Cox say that seven of the twenty workers that they laid off on a temporary basis in August have now re-commenced work. The workers were let go in August after An Bord Pleanala ruled that they were deferring a decision on the refurbishment of the Percy French Hotel in Strokestown. However An Bord Pleanala have now given the plan the go-ahead for the project, subject to certain conditions.
