Earley’s report ‘clean sweep of sales’ at December auction

Property Partners Earley, Roscommon are delighted to report that they realised a clean sweep of sales at their December multi-lot auction which comprised of agricultural lands and investment properties in the local region.

  The auction was held in The Central Bar, Roscommon town and was well attended with over 50 people in attendance. 

  The first property comprised of 42.37 acres of lands set out in two lots located at Bracklaghboy, beside Ballyhaunis town, on which stood a quality three-bedroomed bungalow.

  The property opened at €300,000 and was eventually knocked down to a local farmer for the figure of €350,000.

  The second property, located at Sheehaun and Killattimoriarty, Kilrooskey, Co. Roscommon, comprised of c. 26.65 acres in total, set out in three main lots. A very competitive bidding contest began with the property sold in three lots as follows: c. 4.54 acres for €23,000, c. 9.85 acres with derelict residence for €42,000, and c. 7.38 acres for €26,000.

  The third property located at the junction of Church Street and Henry Street, Roscommon town, attracted very strong pre-auction interest and when it opened on the floor at €100,000, 18 individual bids were recorded. The property was eventually knocked down to a local businessman for the figure of €170,000.

  The fourth and fifth properties were located at Abbey Street and Knox Street, Ballyhaunis and were two prime investment properties with strong passing rents. Strong bidding was recorded on both properties. They were sold to private investors for €60,000 and €67,000 respectively.

  John Earley reported very strong interest and viewings in all lots pre-auction and now has a list of under-bidders and enquiries for similar properties.
