Earley’s delighted with summer multi-lot auction

 

 

Property Partners Earley, Roscommon are pleased to report on the very successful mulit-lot public auction that they conducted on Thursday last in the Central Bar, The Square, Roscommon town, when three prime Roscommon properties went under the hammer.

  A primely located public house overlooking Portrunny Bay, known as the Shannonview Lounge, was the top ‘performer’ on the day, being sold under the hammer for €214,000. The property attracted significant pre-auction interest, and bidding opened at €130,000. After a very competitive bidding contest, the property was sold to a local businessman. Solicitor with carriage of sale was Mr. Peter Jones, Messrs. Peter H. Jones & Co., Goff St., Roscommon.

  A prime residential holding of lands containing approx. 22.8 acres located at Cargins, Tulsk, Co. Roscommon perfomed well when selling for €150,000 under the hammer after strong bidding on the floor. The property was primely located approximately 1.5 km from Tulsk village on the main Roscommon route, and features a derelict two-storey residence. Solicitors with carriage of sale were Messrs. Reid & Sweeney, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal. Joint selling agents were Messrs. Vincent Egan & Co., Boyle.

  Lands containing approx. 51 acres set out in seven number lots was withdrawn at auction with negotiations still ongoing in respect of same. Joint selling agents were Michael O’Rourke auctioneers, Creggs.

  John Earley (FIPAV), who conducted the auction reported: “We experienced very strong interest in all lots pre-auction, and witnessed very competitive bidding on the auction floor. Properties that sold were for very satisfactory prices and we now require similar properties for the extensive list of underbidders who registered for the auction”.
