Over €162,000 Awarded to Roscommon Community Groups Under Local Enhancement Programme 2026
Community groups and voluntary organisations across County Roscommon are set to benefit from €162,497.60 in funding under the Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) 2026, as part of a nationwide €7 million investment announced today by Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary TD, and Minister of State for Community Development and Charities, Jerry Buttimer TD.
The funding will support a broad range of community-led initiatives throughout Roscommon, including community centres, youth services, sports clubs, Tidy Towns groups, heritage projects, disability supports, community safety initiatives, environmental projects and local development organisations.

Nationally, the Local Enhancement Programme 2026 will provide funding for more than 4,100 projects, with grants supporting small-scale capital works, equipment purchases, minor renovations, IT upgrades and improvements to community facilities. The programme is administered by Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs) with the support of local authorities.
