Roscommon Drama Group are delighted to announce their return to the boards early next month, 2nd to 5th October, when they stage two one-act plays at the Roscommon Arts Centre.
They have spent the summer preparing the plays for recording for radio under the direction of Roscommon born thespian Enda Oates. The group will present enhanced staged readings of the plays which is a new and innovative idea to bring drama to the Roscommon stage after the long Covid break.
There is a more detailed description of the plays and casts on the ‘Good News Page’ this week (page 10). Due to Covid restrictions there is a limited availability so booking early is advisable.
At a recent committee meeting it was decided to return to the road on the One-Act Drama circuit this year with The Galway Girl directed by Mary Cox. There will also be a spring production of a three-act play details of which have yet to be decided. Finally, the AGM will be held on October 12th where new members will be more than welcome.
