Speculation is rife that Ger Dowd is set to be named as a new Roscommon senior football selector by team manager, Kevin McStay.
The Creggs team manager and St. Brigid’s selector is a former St. Brigid’s team manager and would join Kevin McStay and Liam McHale in the new set up. That appointment would have to be ratified by the County Board.
It is understood that the new management team have been contacting players with a view to their availability for the panel for 2017, which will start training in early December. Kevin McStay was unavailable for comment as The Roscommon People went to press on Wednesday night but it is understood that a panel is being formed and will be finalised within the next couple of weeks.
