Dooner’s weekend predictions – January 25th

Best wishes to young Ballymoe FC goalkeeper, Jack Donnellan (18), who suffered a head injury during his side’s Premier Division match against Boyle last Sunday. Jack had to be airlifted to hospital after he was injured attempting to clear a ball inside his own penalty area.

Thankfully, Jack is recovering and expected to “bounce back and make a quick and full recovery”, according to club chairman Tommy Shaughnessy.

This Friday night sees Ballinasloe Town entertain old rivals Castlerea Celtic while the rest of the weekend is dominated by the Connacht Cup and Shield.
