Last weekend wasn’t so bad in terms of predictions. As for football, a mixed weekend for Roscommon teams but there was one stand out performance and result. Congratulations to Sligo Superleague side Boyle Celtic from Co. Roscommon who beat Waterford League side Carrick United from Co. Tipperary in the FAI Junior Cup quarter-finals last Sunday.

The RDFL Challenge Cup Round 2
Hodson Bay Athletic v Moylough ’79. 11 am

Prediction: Hodson Bay Athletic.
The Herald Premier Division
Castlerea Celtic v Ballaghaderreen FC. 11 am
I still fancy Castlerea to steal in and take the league title. This won’t be easy but it’s a must-win as the champions face Moore United and Ballinasloe in their remaining fixtures.
Prediction: Castlerea Celtic.
Moore United v Brazukas. 11 am
United are in a great position to take the title. They face Ballymoe and Castlerea after this.
Prediction: Moore United.
Killeen Sportsgrounds Division Two
Skyvalley Rovers B v Shiven Rovers B. 11 am
It looks ominous for the home side as they still await their first win. While it would be great to see them take the three points, the smart money is on Shiven.
Prediction: Shiven Rovers B.
RDFL First Division Cup Round One
Lough Harps v Kilkerrin United. 11 am
Fair play to Kilkerrin who upset the predictions last weekend. Can they do it again?
Prediction: Lough Harps.
Saturday, March 18th
The RDFL Challenge Cup Round 2
Strokestown United v Cloonfad United. 7.45 pm
This is a good test of Strokestown’s credentials. Cloonfad to edge it.
Prediction: Cloonfad United.

All Roscommon tie and Boyle will be on a high following their Junior Cup heroics.

The visitors will fancy their chances in Moore.
Prediction: CP Ajax.

United have the firepower to hurt most teams in this division.
Prediction: Roscommon United.
