The predictions last weekend were similar to that of Man United’s chance conversion rate; fairly average but we eventually broke even! This weekend promises to be a bit better, hopefully.
Saturday, January 28th
The Herald Premier Division
Moore United v Shiven Rovers (7.45 pm): This could be a huge weekend for Moore. They need to win this first though. Prediction: Moore United
Norio’s Takeaway Division 1 (7.30 pm)
Cloonfad United v Kilkerrin United: Cloonfad have been in poor form lately but they have been playing teams in the top four and losing narrowly. A win here can turn that around. Prediction: Cloonfad United
Glen Celtic v Dunmore Town: The visitors have to be slight favourites. Prediction: Dunmore Town
Sunday, January 29th
The Herald Premier Division
Brazukas v Ballinasloe Town (11 am): The visitors are still in the hunt and will expect to gain ground this weekend. Prediction: Ballinasloe Town
Ballymoe FC v Castlerea Celtic (2 pm): Before Christmas I would have had this down as a home win. Castlerea have slowly started to turn it around but neither side can really afford to lose. Prediction: Draw
Skyvalley Rovers v Ballaghaderreen FC (2 pm): The visitors have looked bright lately. Prediction: Ballaghaderreen FC
Norio’s Takeaway Division 1
CP Ajax v Loughglynn United (11 am): In most other years CP Ajax would be challenging for the title albeit as outsiders. They should win on home turf. Prediction: CP Ajax
Dysart FC v Rahara Rovers (11 am): I fancy Dysart to remain unbeaten for the rest of the league campaign. Prediction: Dysart FC
Lough Harps v Ballinasloe Town B (2 pm): Harps will be hoping to keep in touch with Cloonfad in second place. Prediction: Lough Harps
Killeen Sportsgrounds Division 2
Dunmore Town B v Skyvalley Rovers B (11 am): Hard not to feel sympathy for Skyvalley Rovers as they continue to search for a win. Prediction: Dunmore Town B
Moore United B v Cam Celtic (11 am): The home side should win this comfortably. Prediction: Moore United B
Cloonfad United B v Roscommon United (2 pm): Roscommon United have impressed lately. Prediction: Roscommon United
Hodson Bay Athletic v Strokestown United (2 pm): This promises to be one of the games of the weekend. Strokestown should have enough about them to claim all three points. Prediction: Strokestown United
Shiven Rovers B v Castlerea Celtic B (2 pm): Difficult one to call and a draw looks most likely. Prediction: Draw
