Dominic’s edge tense IFC decider

St. Dominic’s edged out a battling Éire Óg to take the Callington IFC title after a tense decider at Dr Hyde Park.

Dominic’s led by a point when Karol Feerick scored an opportunist goal in the 8th minute. But Éire Óg were in front by two when Ross Nolan fisted a goal in the 18th minute.
The Knockcroghery based side went in leading by 2-2 to 1-4 at the break when man of the match Cian Kelly scored a fine goal.
Éire Óg’s Declan Flanagan fisted home a goal in the 4th minute of the second half and Dominic’s had a mountain to climb.
But points from Daire Keenan, two from Darren Donnelly and two from veteran Conor Fallon were enough to see Dominic’s over the line.
