At a recent meeting of Mid-Roscommon Fianna Fail Comhairle Ceanntair congratulations were extended to Deputy Michael Finneran and the Government for securing €15 million for the decentralisation project in Roscommon. PRO Donal Kilduff stated: ‘€3 million has been allocated for the purchase of the site at the Golf Links Road and €12 million for the construction of the government office buildings. Advertisements have already been placed for the 230 civil service jobs. The contract documents have been prepared and the construction phase goes to tender inside the next two weeks. This jobs boost for Roscommon is extremely welcome news and will be well received by the many civil servants who wish to lead a less stressful and more rewarding life outside of Dublin.’
