David weighs in on RTE show!

Operation Transformation 2018 aired for the first time on Tuesday evening and some of our readers may have recognised one of the leaders.

Tulsk native David Cryan is a Community Sergeant in An Garda Siochána. He is based in Bridewell Garda Station in Dublin City Centre and is 38 years of age.

David, who hails from Baslick, has represented Roscommon at minor level in football as well as his home club Tulsk and he previously told the Roscommon People that his weight difficulties began when he finished playing football a number of years ago.

David lives with his wife Siobhán and their two children Dylan and Zoe in Lucan. Zoe was born prematurely at 24 weeks, weighing only 540 grams and suffers with a chronic lung disease and Siobhán is her full-time carer.

David, who weighed in at 19 stone 5.5 pounds, was given advice by Dr Eddie Murphy on Tuesday’s show. The doctor advised him to find ways of managing stress as he is under a lot of pressure in his life and told him not just to lose weight for his family but to do it for himself too.
