Two of Ireland’s most recent comedy prodigies are appearing at Roscommon Arts Centre next Wednesday 5th March as part of this month’s Last Laugh Comedy Club. This dastardly duo are best known for their high-jinks and general misbehaviour on the popular TV programme I Dare Ya! Andrew Stanley and Damian Clark are two comedians who, during the day, were a little stuck for ideas on how to keep out of trouble before their stand-ups gigs at night. When the idea to present a show doing dares submitted by the general public was bandied about these two jumped at the chance to take part. With dares like attempting to break all Ten Commandments in a day or travelling to all 32 counties in twenty four hours and the now infamous ‘clamping the clampers’, the show was an instant hit when aired on RTÉ late last year. Their live act also received an ecstatic response at last year’s Edinburgh Festival. Now, the people of Roscommon are in for a treat as this side-splitting comedic tag-team brings their tv show to the stage, taking it back to the people who gave them all the best dares. See the dares from their previous live shows and some of the dares that were just too bad to make it onto the telly! So come along to the arts centre on 5th March – I Dare Ya! Limited tickets available at the box office (090) 66 25824. Over 16s event.
