Following the postponement of the Connacht J1A League final due to an Orange weather alert in Galway last Saturday, this season’s decider between arch rivals Creggs and Connemara, which was scheduled to take place at the Sportsground, has now been moved to Castlebar for an evening kick-off this Saturday.

Creggs finished the regular league season top of the table and have already beaten the Connemara All Blacks this season en route to claiming their third Cawley Cup in a row.

Connemara, however, have looked formidable once again this season and just missed out on top spot in the league by a single bonus point.

Creggs Head Coach Pat Cunningham is expected to have a full squad to choose from this weekend and while Connemara remain the team to beat at this level, confidence is high down at The Green that the Maroon and White can take the next step at this level.

Cunningham told People Sport recently that his charges were looking forward to the challenge laid down by Connemara, and it ill be interesting to see whether the change of venue offers a psychological boost to the men from the village.
