County Roscommon winners in 2017 Irish Restaurant Awards

Over 500 people attended the Connacht Regional finals in this year’s Irish Restaurant Awards in the Radisson Blu in Sligo last week.  Over 50 awards were presented to the leading chefs, restaurants and pubs in the province.

  All county winners now compete for the Regional and All-Ireland honours which will be announced at the Irish Restaurant Awards in the Clayton Hotel in Dublin on Monday, 8th of May next.

  The winners in County Roscommon are as follows:

  The Yew Tree Restaurant in Lecarrow won ‘Best Restaurant’.

  Best Chef in County Roscommon went to Mark Treacy of The Abbey Hotel Restaurant, Roscommon town.

  Best Gastro Pub was won by Keenan’s Gastro Bar, Tarmonbarry.

  Best Casual Dining Award went to Rogue & Co. Café, Roscommon town.

  Best Hotel Restaurant Award went to Abbey Hotel Restaurant, Roscommon town.

  Pub of the Year was won by JJ Harlow’s, Roscommon town.

  Best Customer Service was won by Drumanilra Farm Kitchen, Boyle.

  Best Wine Experience was won by Douglas Hyde Restaurant at Kilronan Castle, Boyle.

  Best Newcomer went to Regan’s Gastro Pub and Restaurant, Roscommon town.

  The Abbey Hotel are also nominated for an award in the Best Digital Marketing category with the results to be announced at the overall awards gala dinner on 8th of May.
