Roscommon County Council has supported a motion calling on the Government to create a task force in order to help combat the planned lay-offs at Bord na Móna, which it was revealed this week has lost almost €50m in the last 12 months.
Cllr. Tom Crosby proposed establishing the task force for stakeholders including Bord na Móna, the ESB, various unions, IDA, Enterprise Ireland and Roscommon, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath and Galway County Councils.
