Tenth instalment kicks off next Wednesday!
The Roscommon Lamb Festival is just days away and preparations are in full swing for one of Roscommon’s most popular events!
The tenth annual Lamb Festival will officially open at Roscommon Mart next Wednesday (26th) with music and continue right through to Bank Holiday Monday (May 1st).
Some of the highlights of this year’s festival include: the official opening by IFA Chairman, Joe Healy on Wednesday; ‘Animal Farm’ by Roscommon Youth Theatre on Thursday and Friday; a leather design worskshop with Úna Burke on Saturday; International Sheepdog Trials on Sunday; Family Fun Day at Loughnaneane Park also on Sunday as well as local heritage events throughout the week, including walks through Roscommon town, St. John’s Wood and Rindoon next Saturday.
This year’s Roscommon Lamb Festival promises to be the biggest and best yet with something for the whole family to enjoy. It will also highlight the very best Roscommon has to offer and the festival atmosphere will continue all weekend in venues throughout the county.
