Senator Frank Feighan has welcomed a funding allocation of €642,000 by Housing Minister Simon Coveney to Roscommon County Council to purchase five houses in Roscommon Town.
The Council will now acquire five three-bedroomed houses at Sunnyside Close, Cherry Drive, Roscommon Town.
Senator Feighan: “This follows on from the Minister’s allocation of €1.35m to Roscommon County Council in March to purchase nine houses at Greenfields Estate in Roscommon Town.” This funding commitment is clear evidence that the Government is helping the County Council to address the social housing shortage, he claimed.
