Roscommon County Council has agreed to dispose of approximately two acres of land at the Demesne in Castlerea for €90,000.
The proposal was approved at Monday’s monthly council meeting. Members were told the disposal of the same parcel of land had previously been considered, but the purchaser now wished to complete the transaction through a different company.
Cllr Paschal Fitzmaurice welcomed the decision, while Cllr Ruth Conboy said bringing sites such as this into use could help strengthen Castlerea’s prospects for business and employment. The sale is subject to the completion of a contract.
