The Convent of Mercy, Roscommon were crowned Connacht Rugby Senior Girls Schools League champions yesterday after defeating Mount St Michael Claremorris in the final at the Sportsground in Galway.

The girls from Roscommon won the match by 10 points on a scoreline of 39-29 with tries from Shauna Walsh (3), Sarah Purcell (1), Roisin Maher (2) and Eabha Dowd(1)
