Controversy over London/Leitrim match

The London v Leitrim National Football League Division 2A game that was called off in controversial circumstances last Sunday week because of an unplayable pitch will be replayed on Sunday, March 18th at 1 pm in Newbridge, Co. Kildare the GAA announced earlier this week.   This decision will anger the other teams in Division 2A who argue that Leitrim will have an advantage on the basis that they will improve their scoring difference more with a match against the exiles here in Ireland rather than if the match was played in Ruislip.   The Leitrim Co. Board complained to the GAA that it cost them over 10,000 euro to travel to London for the postponed game and they said that they would not travel again for a re-fixture given that they are due to travel to Ruislip again in June to play the exiles in the first round of the Connacht Championship.
