Cllr. Domnick Connolly has welcomed the work that has been carried out by Roscommon County Council to alleviate flooding on the Castlestrange road. ‘Local residents had experienced serious problems as a result of the flooding of this particular road during recent spells of heavy rain,’ explained Cllr. Connolly, who had previously made representations to the council to have roadworks carried out in the area. ‘The road posed a danger to motorists due to the floods that were occurring and I am delighted that this work has now been completed by the council following my work on this issue,’ he added.
