Connaughton sells five properties at auction

Connaughton Auctioneers in Athleague held a very successful Property Auction last Friday in Gleeson’s Townhouse, The Square, Roscommon where five of the six  properties that were offered for sale were sold. (Negotiations are continuing with interested parties for lot number six).

The five properties sold for a combined figure of almost €500,000.

A three-bedroomed house at Ballyleague/Lanesboro sold for €117,000. A three-bedroomed bungalow at Roselawn Drive, Ballygar sold for €117,000. Three sites at Ardsallagh More, Athlone Road, Roscommon fetched €120,000, while a site at Mount Talbot sold for €15,000. A four-bedroomed bungalow in Lisacul sold for €80,000.

Meanwhile, a residential farm comprising c. 37.11 acres was withdrawn and is now for sale by private treaty.

Speaking to the Roscommon People, Auctioneer Ivan Connaughton said: “We were very happy with our first auction of 2017.

“The level of interest clearly shows the market is buoyant at this time and with the shortage of property on the market there was substantial interest in all lots, with almost €500,000 worth of sales.

“We now invite entries for our next Auction which is on May 12th, 2017 in Gleeson’s Townhouse at 2 pm.

“Anyone interested in listing their property for this auction, please contact the office today on 090-6663700.”
