Connacht awards for Creggs RFC

Creggs Rugby had a night to remember on Friday last as the club took home two awards at the Connacht Rugby Awards ball in Galway.

Creggs RFC was named as ‘Club of the Year’ while Brian Diffley took home the ‘Junior Club Player of the Year’. Aidan Leech was also named Inter Pro Player of the Year by his Connacht teammates.

The awards follow the club’s hugely successful €50,000 draw, the proceeds of which will go toward the development of facilities for women and underage players. This latest project comes after the construction of a main stand and the installation of a state-of-the-art 4G pitch at The Green in the east Galway village.
