Soccer tournament The last of the preliminary rounds of soccer were played last weekend producing some outstanding competitive play and plenty of goals. Boys U12 ¼ Finals Results: Ballaghaderreen 4 Loughglynn 0 Boyle 3 Moore 2 (after extra-time and penalties); Roscommon 2 Drum 13; Kiltoom 3 Strokestown 0. Semi Finals: Both semi finals were be played on Wednesday 7th May.  Gymnastics: The gymnastics finals will take place on Tuesday 20th May at the Parish Hall, Ballaghaderreen. Kilgefin Community Games   The local community games sports day takes place on Sunday 11th May in St. Faithleachs. Events include U8 to U16 track athletics, toddlers and novelty events for all the family. Bring your sacks, egg and spoon, and a scarf for the three-legged race.The qualifying rules are: 1. Underage – birthday after 31st July  and 2. You must live in the Ballyleague, Ballagh and Curraghroe parish areas. Events kick off at 3 pm weather-permitting so come along for a great day’s fun. Roscommon General Meeting There will be a General Meeting for the Roscommon Community Games at Kilbride Community Room, (at the back of the Kilbride Community Centre), Kilbride on Monday 12th May at 8 pm followed by a meeting of the Executive Committee at 9 pm. Details of the All Ireland Spring finals at Mosney at the end of May will be discussed at this meeting and it is hoped that members from each area will attend.  Gaelic Draw The Draw has now been done for the Gaelic Football matches starting on week ending 24th May.
