A training night for the ASAP programme for GAA clubs in the mid-south of the county will be held at the Roscommon GAA offices on Wednesday night, 16th April at 8.30 pm. The national launch of the ASAP programme was held in Croke Park recently and county officer Noel Collins is urging clubs in the mid south region to send representatives to next week’s course. ‘This course would suit officers and coaches in clubs who are dealing with young people. It is vital that every club is represented at this course. I am appealing to all clubs to send people to the course because it is important that there are number of people who have done this course and we want to explain our policy on the night too’ he said. ‘There is a motion before the weekend GAA Congress in Sligo that seeks to outlaw the filling of GAA cups at any level with alcohol and we would be supporting that motion fully’ he concluded.
