Cloverhill National School continues to grow

Enrolment Evening on Monday next

Cloverhill National School is located just five kilometres from Roscommon town. Over the last three years there has been a significant increase in enrolments, with almost thirty pupils attending the school this year. As a result of the growing enrolments the school received additional classroom accommodation last September.

The school also benefitted from the Department of Education’s Summer Works Scheme. The grant was used to improve safety measures around the school by installing railings on the front wall and a high fence along the playing field.

The pupils in Cloverhill N.S. participate in a wide variety of learning and extra-curricular activities. The Junior Room children enjoy being taught via the Aistear Early Learning Programme, which emphasises learning and developing through play. In addition to this the small class sizes provide ample opportunity for individual attention and one to one teaching and learning.

The pupils in Cloverhill N.S. also benefit from participating in several sporting and extra-curricular activities including football & hurling, soccer, swimming, dancing, drama, gardening, day trips and tours and taking part in quizzes and competitions.

Pupils attending Cloverhill can avail of a daily bus service from Roscommon town to the school. This transport offers an invaluable support to parents as it is door to door every morning and evening. As well as this bus service the school provides supervised playtime for all junior and senior pupils up to 4 pm each day. This has proved very popular with both pupils and parents this year.

Cloverhill NS is also very involved in the Greens Schools Programme, which encourages pupils to keep the school litter free. It also teaches the children the benefits of reducing, reusing and recycling!

The teachers and staff extend a céad míle fáilte to their enrolment evening next Monday, February 15th from 4 to 7 pm. Please call in to meet everyone and to learn more about what the school can offer you and your child.
