The latest day for the receipt of music, song, comhrá gaeilge and set dancing entries for Roscommon County Fleadh in Athleague at Easter Weekend, is Monday 3rd March. Those in Roscommon Town and surrounding areas should send their entries to Liam Ó Cuinneagáin, Cloonbrackna Avenue, Roscommon (090) 66 26729. Those from other areas in the county should send their entries to the local Comhaltas branch runaí. Secondary School students and teachers should note that the Fleadh comes before the oral Irish test this year, Easter being so early. The comhrá competition is an ideal opportunity to get a ‘free trial’ beforehand and the chance to win a gold medal also.
