A child was taken to Mayo University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries following a multi-vehicle collision in Co. Roscommon this morning.

Emergency services attended the scene on the R325 at Drumnaslassan near Ballaghaderreen at approximately 9 am.

The road is currently closed and motorists in the area are warned to expect delays.
