Byrne Carolan Cunningham Solicitors are enjoying a double celebration having scooped the Award for Property Law Firm/Team/Lawyer of the Year (Leinster) at the Dye & Durham, Irish Law Awards 2022 on October 28th in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin as well as marking 30 years in business.
The firm said it was thrilled to have taken one award with them back to the midlands and to have been finalists in three categories including Law Firm of the Year (Leinster); Property Law Firm/Team/Lawyer of the Year (Leinster); and Personal Injury/Medical Negligence Law Firm/Team/Lawyer of the Year.
Byrne Carolan Cunningham opened its doors on October 5th 1992 with modest offices at 39 Mardyke Street, the founding solicitors were Daragh Byrne and Brian Carolan and they had one secretary.
In the 30 years since, they have expanded those offices at Mardyke Street greatly. The Partnership now includes Niall Cunningham, a native of Moate, Brian O’Brien who comes from Lanesboro and Michael Leonard who hails from Galway. In addition, the firm has 22 staff across their offices in Athlone, Moate, Lanesboro and Galway. They also offer their services nationwide by appointment.
With nine highly experienced solicitors and 18 support staff they specialise in all types of Personal Injury matters, Medical Negligence Law, Property Law and Wills & Inheritance Law.
A spokeperson for the firm when asked about their nominations in the Law Awards, said they were delighted to have been nominated as finalists in three categories and it was a huge honour and recognition of the work of their highly dedicated team of solicitors and support staff to have picked up the award for Property Law Firm/Team/Lawyer of the Year (Leinster).
Like many businesses they are grateful to have survived through a recession and also the challenges that Covid-19 brought but they managed to adapt and grow while still continuing to provide their clients with the high standard of service that they pride themselves on.
