Castlerea St. Kevin’s outscored their opponents by 4-6 to 1-5 in the second half to seal victory in the Ladies Junior A Championship final.

  It was Michael Glavey’s who led by 1-6 to 0-6 at half-time – after a Sheila Brady goal – but Castlerea found their shooting boots in the second half.

  Substitute Holly Hopkins found the net upon the resumption for Castlerea St. Kevin’s before Brady responded with a goal for Michael Glavey’s. Reece Higgins replied with a goal for Castlerea St. Kevin’s. Abi Flanagan found the net for Castlerea side before Claire Raftery’s point attempt found its way to the net to seal the win for Castlerea St. Kevin’s.

  Sheila Brady struck 2-9 for Michael Glavey’s in a heroic display. Meanwhile, Irish amateur boxer Lisa O’Rourke starred in the middle of the field for the victors as she helped her side deliver the knockout blows in the second half.
