Castlerea Musical Society present ‘Winter Wonderland’ this Friday

Castlerea Musical Society will present a mix of traditional and modern Christmas carols at a fundraising concert this Friday night, December   18th.

‘Winter Wonderland’ will take place in the Trinity Arts Centre in Castlerea at  8 pm. Rehearsals have been taking place for many weeks under the watchful eye of the AIMS award nominated, Shane Farrell. Members of the ladies and men’s chorus will perform classics such as the beautiful Ukranian carol The Carol Bells and many more familiar traditional carols such as Adeste Fideles.

They will be joined by senior members of the Castlerea Youth Stage School for the calming Christmas hymn When a Child is Born.  Soloists will raise the roof with hymns such as ‘Oh Holy Night’.

We are delighted also to be joined by ballerinas from our choreographer Patricia McDermot’s  School of Dance.

Tickets are €10 and are available at the door the night. Raffle tickets will also be on sale for our Christmas Draw which will take place on the night. Prizes include a monster hamper and cash amounts. All proceeds will go towards the staging of our 2016 show Guys and Dolls. Thanks to all our supporters and Merry Christmas to all.
