Castlerea Celtic won the Roscommon and District League Challenge Cup final on Sunday by a goal to nil when they defeated the newly crowned Premier League champions Moore United at Lecarrow.
The decisive goal came in the 15th minute when Frank Hester headed in Jack Higgins’ corner at the far post.
Moore dominated possession in the second half but the Castlerea defence dealt comfortably with anything their attack had to offer up front and they coasted to victory. Final score: Castlerea Celtic 1 Moore United 0.
