All-conquering St. Brigids go for more silverware this weekend when they meet Kilmore in the O’Rourke Cup Final. The game will be played on Sunday in Kilmore with a 2 pm start and St. Brigids will start as favourites. Last weekend the Kiltoom club’s domination of Roscommon football continued when a remarkable sixth successive County U-21 title was secured at the expense of St. Aidans. There were celebrations too for Western Gaels who won the Division 2 title and for Kilglass Gaels who took the honours in the Divison 3 decider. Meanwhile off the field all eyes are on the GAA Convention which takes place on Monday night, although with just four motions down for consideration a low-key affair is anticipated. There will however be much interest in the contests for position of treasurer and for Connacht Council delegate roles.
